Slalom is actively seeking a Client Partner in Houston to grow the Slalom brand within our Oil & Gas clients focused primarily on upstream. This Client Partner will lead the way in solving the industry's most pressing challenges across all our services. This role is targeted at a Director level.
What You’ll Do
- Manage multiple customers within an account portfolio. Plus, oversight of all work in designated areas of responsibility; Ownership of designated account plans, revenue generation, client satisfaction, engagement, delivery, financial account responsibility tracking and QA.
- Generate sales opportunities, grow the Slalom brand and network, grow executive relationships, collaborate with practice area leaders to create proposals, and respond to client RFPs.
- Deliver complex solutions on direct engagements and project teams. Slalom believes that client facing roles should add value to our clients and have a delivery and advisory component to them. Without that, we risk losing credibility – and trust. As such, those in client service have a utilization target of 50%+.
- Global Account Strategy: member of the global account leadership team supporting energy industry client portfolio direction, strategy, and goal setting.
- Have a focus on Houston market leadership & collaboration including the strategy alignment of the global and local market account initiatives, practice collaboration by defining service offerings and bringing those to market by utilizing all of Slalom resources and people, and promoting Slalom by attending and being involved in industry events, panels, boards, etc.
What You’ll Bring
- Extensive experience working within the consulting industry.
- Demonstrated leadership managing executive relationships.
- Experience managing profitability of assigned local account (revenue and utilization goals).
- Experience managing transformational programs that incorporate people, processes, and technology.
- Proven track record as a client partner, personally accountable for driving/leading pursuits totaling $10+ MM in sales annually within the Oil and Gas sector, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry dynamics, challenges, and opportunities.
- Extensive experience in aligning technology solutions with the specific functional needs of our clients with a lens on their evolving needs.
- Demonstrated experience delivering high-impact consulting services.
- Hands-on contract negotiation experience with NDA’s, MSA’s, & SOW’s.
- Experience managing the performance of individual consultants, either direct reports and/or as members of project team.
- Deep experience with oversight, governance, and quality assurance of all sold/managed engagements.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $175,000 to $281,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
